The Surroundings

Our pension is located in Nové Město nad Metují, in the picturesque region of authors such as Božena Němcová or Alois Jirásek. You can find the Orlické Mountains on one side, and the Krkonoše mountains on the other. Experience rich history when visiting the numerous castles, palaces, churches, cloisters, museums and galleries. If you love water-sports, you are sure to enjoy the Rozkoš Lake. Cyclists can pick from many bike trails in near or even in further vicinity of our pension. Families with children are sure to enjoy the Safari Park Dvůr Králové, and the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks. For those interested in military history, old fortifications are a must-see. You can enjoy all of these from several newly built observation towers. We recommend crossing the nearby border with Poland. There, you will find a beautiful spa and a shopping centre, offering shopping and relaxation. If you are not afraid of heights, the view from a sightseeing flight or a hot air balloon is breath-taking. We believe you will enjoy your time spent here and wish you good weather.
